Our expertise in community consultation was clearly recognized when our Executive Director Debra Hall co-authored the current Asset Management Manual of the National Asset Management Steering Group (NAMSG). The manual represents international best practice in infrastructure management and provides a basis for sound sustainable business management relevant to both the private and public sector.

Debra also co-authored the companion manual, “Creating Customer Value from Community Assets”, in which she helped...

• develop the guidelines for setting service standards relevant to Council customers;
• develop the guidelines for communicating with Council customers; and...
• develop the guidelines for integrating asset management and customer service levels.

Local Government Research Experience

Our local government research experience is extensive, with over 200 council research projects conducted. 

These include major public opinion surveys on both Council activities and environmental issues, as well as a diverse range of customer service levels.

Most of this work was conducted in the 1990's but several of the key staff involved remain at Synovate and are available for future public sector work (contact Jonathan Dodd or Debra Hall).
