The Synovate Sale:
A Message from Debra Hall

Debra%20-%20small%20file.jpg

Synovate acquires Research Solutions

On 2nd November, Ian Mills and Debra Hall gathered together the Research Solutions team to make the exciting announcement that Research Solutions has joined Synovate, and will, on 3rd December, become Synovate New Zealand.

Opportunites for All...

The move brings a world of opportunities for our people.  For our clients, it provides the benefits of access to a global network of curious researchers.

No Staff Changes!

Most importantly, there will be no re-structuring of the company, no job losses as a result of the sale, and no management changes.  Ian remains in charge (as Managing Director NZ), and Debra remains a Director of the company, and continues to work in the research team, as Executive Director Research.

Commitment Expertise Remains

While we’re sad to be moving on from our very successful time as New Zealand’s leading provider of the Conversion Model, we are delighted to once again be working with Dr Jannie Hofmeyr, who developed the theory of consumer commitment that underpins that model, and is now leading the Synovate Innovation team.

The World's Biggest Small Company

We didn’t need to sell the company – but an offer to join Synovate was simply too good to miss.  Debra has known the Synovate people for some 15 years or more now, and feels very comfortable that they’re a perfect fit for us.  They call themselves that ‘world’s biggest small company’, and certainly live up to that, with an incredibly small head office, and plenty of local autonomy.

Staff Development

For our people, this move means a great staff development programme, which we hope will encourage them to stay with us longer, and learn more – and when they’re ready to move on, to make the most of their opportunities in Synovate around the world.  We also have some world-class ideas to share with the network ourselves, with our youth-guru Dr Richard Griffiths leading our youth practice, under the 18 brand, now an integrated part of Synovate New Zealand.

And Debra Stays!

Debra is staying on, revelling in the opportunity to continue doing what she does, without having to worry about the long term future of the company.  She says she’ll be travelling a little more, perhaps to some of Synovate’s more far-flung offices around the world, but has no plans to retire or move on.  “I love what I do, and the people I do it with – I’m staying!” she says.

We hope you’ll celebrate with us this positive move.

We're Excited!

Here’s to Synovate – it’s Research (Solutions) reinvented!

Brand Commitment: The Expert Speaks

jannie.jpg

Jannie Hofmeyr is the guru behind the theory of brand commitment, developer of the Conversion Model, and now the developer behind the Brand Value Creator.

In his article "Reinventing Brand Research" he argues that if you want to know how your next marketing campaign will affect brand sales and equity, you can now get a much clearer picture.
